KUTH Soccer Fiesta — Season 1 (Maiden Edition)
Where Sports Meets Purpose
“It might not have been the very first football tournament to be held in Festac Town, but it will definitely go down memory lane as one of the best planned and executed sports fiesta to have been held at the prestigious FHA field on 23 Road, Festac Town, Lagos. Despite the rains that tried to mar the event, there was yet, more than a handful set up dazzling performances to the chagrin of even the most passive enthusiast of soccer.”
More Than a Tournament
The KUTH Soccer Fiesta is more than a football tournament. It is a deliberate platform that combines the universal language of sports with targeted youth mentorship, anti-vice education, and community building. Held in Festac Town — one of Lagos's most vibrant yet underserved communities — the tournament brings together young people who might otherwise be drawn into drugs, cultism, or idleness, and channels their energy into discipline, teamwork, and aspiration.
Without taking anything away from the youth, the foundation has only succeeded in using sports as a vehicle to bringing the much desired change in the attitudes of the teeming youths living within Festac and its environs. The impact of this program on the participants and the audience is such that they now realize the importance of sports other than as an ordinary game but an agent of change in behavior. While on the other hand, the motivational talk for those who were present and listened attentively are privileged to have learnt about the true values of life.

The Founder's Message
“I feel great. This is what I have longed for; to impact positively on the lives of the youths and to do my best in opening doors and giving hope to the younger generation. It is a way of giving back to the society. The main reason why the maiden edition of this project is holding in Festac is because it is my root. Frankly speaking, we do not have a proper foundation for the development of the youth, this is why a lot of them easily embrace: prostitution, robbery, cultism, drugs, abortion, etc. I think the time is right for those who have to come out of their shells and try to give something back to the society and I believe that there are so many things that can be done to save our youths. Once they are saved, our future is guaranteed.”

The Reality We Faced
“We have managed to discover a few good players but our disappointment is that a lot of young people are more into computer frauds, clubbing, prostituting, cultism, hard drugs and armed robbery than engaging in things that can assure them of their future. So for us, there is a lot of work to be done. That is a reality that all of us have to face and we hope other meaning Nigerians will join hands with us. We on our part will do our best to regain the good old days.”
